Based in downtown Menlo Park, one of Silicon Valley’s most bucolic residential communities, A.Space showcases original artwork representing a broad spectrum of talented artists with unique perspectives. Our desire is to help our patrons discover an unexpected piece that reflects their personal aesthetic—perhaps adding a bit of drama, color, or whimsy to the space they call home.
Art is the cornerstone of the living area vignettes presented on the show floor accentuated by KOLKKA Furniture, hand-forged metal pieces fabricated at the family-owned company’s artisan factory in American Canyon.
A.Space welcomes artist submissions. Please email us with detailed information about yourself, your education, artistic experiences, and 5-8 images that best represent your work. We respond only with interest.
Also available by appointment.
Jill Layman, Proprietor
An ardent admirer of artistic talent, Jill Layman conceived of A.Space as a means both to fulfill her desire to be surrounded by exceptional creativity as well as her community with a gallery space for inspired contemplation and discovery.
A multi-talented entrepreneur, Jill began her career in journalism and public relations. She “retired” in 2001 to raise her family and launch an estate wine label in Alexander Valley, which she co-owned and operated for 10 years. Jill now lives in Menlo Park with her three children—Makena, Melina and Oliver—who are her biggest cheerleaders. She gratefully credits their unwavering support as the springboard for this next venture.
